The South Tyrolean bet.
Construction of contemporaneity and production of architectural culture in South Tyrol

Tutor: Antonio De Rossi

The thesis aims to investigate, through an architectural lens, the South Tyrol as the only virtuous case at national level regarding the design quality, the management of the territory and the ability to elaborate long-term local strategies. Regionality, regionalization, autonomy and contemporaneity are the key words that represent the starting point for understanding a reality whose architectural production, despite having past historical events, managed to enter fully into the contemporary world
