Sestriere tra modelli insediativi, tipologie architettoniche e costumi sociali (1931-1979)

The history of Sestriere begins at the end of the 1920s with a breakfast at the bar between Edoardo Agnelli, his wife Virginia and the engineer Vittorio Bonadè Bottino. Just two years later, in 1931, the first cable car and the first buildings were already inaugurated in the «stupendo paesaggio naturale degli immensi campi di neve». Which were the urban and architectural models of this project? What types of consumption were created through Sestriere, appendix of the main Fordist city of Italy?
