ICAR/18 – Architectural History
His research focuses on 18th century architectural history with a specific interest for European and Italian architecture, construction history and architectural theory. Past activities include the role of editor in chief to the review “Il Giornale dell’Architettura” (2002-2004), essays on Guarino Guarini, Jacques-François Blondel, Bernardo Antonio Vittone, and on baroque vault construction. Director of the collection “I Testimoni dell’Architettura”, with Carlo Olmo, from 2006 to 2009 and now of the collection Ungebaute Bauten, Sagep. On the Board of “Architectural Histories”, EAHN (European Architectural History Network) open access Journal from 2012 to 2016, co-curating the special collection on ‘Travel’ in 2017.
