Preparing the Ground. Urbanization Along the New Ethio-Djibouti Railway.
Tutor: Matteo Robiglio
This research aims to question the space of the urban development that is occurring along the recently inaugurated Addis-Djibouti railway. What are the features of these spaces? Can these spaces be attributed to the same models? How do these spaces relate to existing settlements and the new train stations? The intersection between infrastructure, industrialization and housing will guide the project in an attempt to trace an atlas of new developments in cities in terms of urban morphology, models and materials.
