BIM, Virtual Reality and Interoperability at District Level
Tutor:
The scientific objective of the research is to describe the socio-technical processes of urban transformation in the aftermath of the introduction of ICT tools for design. By interpreting and elaborating the tools, the potential application could be aimed at leading practical experimentations in drawing and testing maps of urban transformation capable of correlating physical actions with economic dynamics, impact evaluation on materials and public decision-making processes.
Bio
Sara Giaveno is a PhD Candidate in Architecture. History and Project at Politecnico di Torino and currently she is developing the PhD thesis in collaboration with CRH, a global leader in building materials. She held a II Level Master in BIM Manager at Politecnico di Milano in 2017, and in 2016 she obtained the master degree in Architecture Construction City at Politecnico di Torino with a thesis developed in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Design). Her work is focused on managing urban transformation with digital tools and her field of investigation includes the sociotechnical issues involved in digital revolution.
